We have an exciting opportunity for a housing assessment officer within our housing assessment team.


Experience of investigation and interviewing is essential as the primary function of this role will be to interview and investigate applications from clients who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to establish the council’s duty under legislation.


You must have excellent literacy skills both written and verbal and have the ability to plan, prioritise and organise your caseload to meet targets and deadlines. You must be motivated to achieve results and deliver work that is accurate and on time.


You must be able to work within a high pressure environment and be able to deal with clients who can be vulnerable and challenging.


The applicant should possess good IT skills, be proactive, forwarding thinking with a can do attitude and committed to delivering an excellent service.
